Kevin Seneviratne
Founder, Director and Senior Tutor
Kevin is the Founder, Director and Senior Tutor at PureMaths. He is responsible for the strategy, operations, communications and ethical standards for the company. He also leads the delivery of tuition services and oversees the technical content generated and provided by PureMaths.
He has a BEng (Hons) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oxford Brookes University and is a member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).
He has over 13 years of experience managing multimillion pound complex, technical engineering projects in the Oil, Gas and Energy industries. The companies he has worked for include Schlumberger and Koch Industries. He has managed projects for some of the industry’s largest companies, including Shell, Exxon Mobil, Centrica, Saudi Aramco and Sinopec.
Chandra Seneviratne
Director, Head of Tuition and Senior Tutor
Chandra is a Director and Head of Tuition at PureMaths. He is responsible for ensuring the tuition content we generate is to the highest standards and continues to be in accordance with the guidelines and syllabus set by the Department of Education, and official qualification boards. He is also involved with ensuring the methods for delivering tuition remain efficient and effective.
Chandra is a highly accomplished Tutor with 15 years of fulltime private tuition experience in KS 3, KS 4 GCSE, A-level Mathematics and A-level Further Mathematics. He has helped scores of students achieve excellent GCSE and A-level grades. Among his students are those that he has helped at prestigious schools, such as Eton, Harrow and Wickham Abbey. He has also helped students that have gone on to enter Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Prior to tutoring he held middle and senior management positions for British Petroleum and Hewlett Packard for 25 years.
Chandra has a BSc in Marine Engineering from the University of Newcastle. He is a Charted Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineers (FIMarE).
